Standard octo vs. Atomic SS1 tradoffs

I have used the Seaquest and the Atomic, both work just fine and the streamlining is nice also. "But" both are vary prone to freeze up in cold water, froze the atomic once and the SeaQuest twice.

sorry, i'm still kind of a newbie, but how cold is considered "cold water"?
