Bill Nolt (2nd & 3rd pics) brought his buddies Ron & Ron and Chris up from Sarasota Saturday and it was pretty good offshore from St Pete Bch!

Hit 2 ledges in 85' and had warm 40' vis clarity, got some hogs and a gag, then we moved to 65' (25' vis) for 3 more ledges and more hogs & some triggers, finally finished with 2 ledges in 57' where more hogs and a few mangrove snappers were boated. They even saw a lobster the Goliaths missed, but couldn't dig it out... I may just have return to that ledge soon!

I freedove the 57' area on the way out to check the vis and it was a solid 25' with a low sun, but by afternoon on the return it had dropped to 10' or so. The mangrove count would have easily quadrupled if the good vis had held through the afternoon.

The only downsides were some jellies in the hot water, a triggerfish bite (not strung out the mouth), and a gray visitor boned some hogs and a stringer from Chris (last pic) on the last dive... but certainly added a little zip to the Sat evening conversation!

Nice shots. Thanks for the post. We encountered some jellies but that was down in Jupiter. Thankfully they were only a load of Moon Jelly's.
