Might be a strong possibility. The boat has an 80 or 83 gallon gas tank, so there's not much thats out of range for day trips

CBulla:I wont know what the actual mileage is until I get the motor, tyranny, and prop mounted on the boat, fill the tank, take it out for a run, fill the difference in gas used.. run it again, etc.., and after 3-5 runs I should have a good shake down and take the average of the usage to get an idea.
Number of divers? Well, the boat is big.. @ 27' overall length, she's got a lot of room to work with. I have pictures here of her: http://scubaboard.com/t53632.html
The open deck space is quite lager, and with the captain and passenger seats folded down, there is quite a lot of deck space. The cabin is quite spacious as well. I estimate 6-8 for day trips or island easy, 6 for off shore excursions if a few people dont mind the fold out hammocks or inflatable mattress idea since there aren't bugs to irritate you offshore Thats including dive gear.
Once in the water she'll have a hard top to cover back over the area where the glass comes down on the side so there will be perminate coverage for at least half of the deck, the rest will be coverable if I so choose.
