NOTRUMP:
How is the diving in St. Martin? I have a chance to go there. Thanks.

I just returned from the Dutch side - St. Maarten - a few weeks ago. The diving isn't touted as world class there. We did a "shark awareness" dive with Dive Safaris. It was fun, the vis was good and the reef looked good. We also did a day trip to Saba, a nearby island noted for it's diving, but I wasn't that impressed with what I saw there. Not much color, poor vis and not many fish. Maybe it was just the area we visitied, although we did three dives that day. Didn't dive the French side of St. Martin, but there seemed to be more dive shops on the French side. The island is windy.

I'd go!

Welcome to the board!

Diving there is OK but not wonderful. Mostly shallow and not much to look at but better than staying home. Saba is a world class location. Don't know where the poster dove that had a bad experience but that is very unusual. Saba has great wall diving and has always been at the top of the list for Diving locations.

Hi,
Octopus diving is located on the French side and we have some fantastic diving here. The reefs are in really good shape, lots and lots of fish, we see turtles everyday, sting rays, eagle rays etc... Visit our website to view our images on the gallery.
