I'm going to St Martin 7/28. Which dive group did you use and where did you go?
N

We did the shark dive with Dive Safaris in Simpson Bay on the Dutch side. They're just before you hit the bridge just past the airport, and across from McDonalds. Good crew and a very comfortable boat. The shark dive was on Big Mommas Reef just off the southern coast. They only do the the shark dive on Tuesday and Friday at 1pm.

The rest of the time we dove with Chris and Sally at OctopusDiving in Grand Case. We were staying on Orient Beach on the French side and it was only a 5 minute drive each morning to their shop. Christian and JP, both French, split up the Dm/captain duties and did a great job. They had no problems leaving us to explore the reefs and canyons on our own while they shepherded some newer divers around. Typical dives were around 50 minutes to 70 minutes depending on depths. There's is a smaller boat and they only take six max. We dove around Creol Rock, a few reefs off of Grand Case, Japanese reef off the Atlantic side, and the reefs and canyons around Tintamare Island.

I enjoyed both and I highly recommend Chris and Sally. They're who I will dive with when I go back. If you dive with them, tell them Gordon said Hello.

We are going to St. Martin in November. We are doing the Live aboard Explorer Ventures. We'll be on St. Martin, Saba, St. Kitt and Nevis during the week. Can't wait
