St Maarten Dive Report

Good morning,

Spent yesterday diving four dives with Octopus Divers in St Maarten, I was actually pleasantly surprised by the variety of fish life... All it's missing is nice hard coral beds and sharks.

Nothing but great things to say about Octopus Diving center. Thank you all for the recommendation to use them.

Thanks for the post and link to your blog (OMG!!! Wasted about an hour there). If you have the opportunity jump over to Saba for deep, more varied diving, not to mention either the vomit-comet-high-speed-ferry or almost-impossible-to-land-at-airstrip. Safe travels.

Thanks for the feedback. I was always curious why the "saba" explorer which starts/ends in St Maarten does not actually dive in St Maarten.

Haha, well, I wouldn't consider it "wasted" I'm glad that you found it interesting enough to spend an hour, that's what it's there for. I'm traveling the next few months and hitting the BVI next week and the Galapagos before the end of the year, so feel free to check back if you are interested.

Unfortunately cannot hit Saba this time because I have plans through the new year, but luckily the Caribbean is close enough it would kind of fit into some of my future itineraries and I"ll have to keep that in mind

Certainly not wasted and kudos to you for pulling the trigger and doing what many only dream of. VI bound Weds, alas work first, dive second, but it beats Philadelphia. ...Galapagos...sigh...
