So did everybody see the show last night? What did you think?

Pretty fascinating background story, of which I knew only part of, having dove the wreck a lot when I lived up there.

It was good seeing Capt. Bill and Ken Wagner as well. Lucky SOB's.

I had an opportunity to see it about a month ago, but without all the animation, etc. It's amazing how much the animation and graphics add to the final program. Nice job, as always, by DSD.

Capt Bill didn't get much camera time huh?

Was cool to learn the backstory behind and all the other historic details that you sometimes don't get in the dive briefing.

He got his '15 mins' towards the end, I guess. So do you think John & Ritchie really solved the puzzle? Was that something Bill and Ken didn't already know? On the camera they looked perplexed, or was that 'thespian acting'??

It was a great show,,,,hope in the future get to take a dip on her myself.

Looks like it be a great dive - I have not noticed Richie K using a re-breather before. Has he done so on other episodes. All in all, it was a pretty good show.

I will have to put that on the list of dives to do...the list is growing.

Cheers

Traditionally, Ritchie refused to use re-breathers because of the dangers. But of course, he used to refuse diving tri-mix at extreme depths, earlier on.

Definetly must dive her myeslf one day. I liked the show in a sense that its great footage and a good summary of the event/contraversies. What I don't like is that they claim to try to solve the mystery but in reality they only begin to scratch the surface. I dont mind the fact that they cant solve a 70 year mystery in 1hr, just don't think and claim that you'll even try. just my 2 cents

That's entertainment!

I realize that they have to have some sort of hook to theme the show around but I think the whole detective concept will limit the show in a lot of ways as there are a lot of interesting dives out there that they won't do because they aren't mysteries that need solving. Face it how many non-divers watch the show and out of those how many need the detective theme to get them to watch? If they do a dive that has some questions surrounding it and they figure out what's up then that would be a bonus but it would save them from having to force it when it's not needed.
Until then they need to end more shows with someone shaking their fist going "we would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling divers"
