I've just had a scary thought, I have ordered my membrane dry suit, the boots were slightly tight on the width and top of my foot, as I have wide feet, but there is quite a large space at the front of the boot . My concern is that I may get painful squeeze at the front of my foot and not be able to equalise it due to the tight fit around the middle of my foot .
I tried the next size up a size 10 in a different brand of dry suit, but they were huge and would require several pairs of socks!
Has anybody experienced squeeze in the front of their foot and been unable to equalise, or am I worrying over nothing?
Thanks for any advice/Steve

You're worrying over nothing.

You don't have to worry about squeeze, with a little wiggling you can get a nice little air bubble up there.
I'd be more concerned about getting cold feet, that a too-snug fit wouldn't allow enough socks to be worn or restrict circulation.
If the fit was otherwise comfy, no sweat.

I have EEE width feet and your main concern will be cramping if the boots are too narrow. Wearing a pair of fins and being vertical for a few minutes at the surface in cold water at the end of the dived will be pretty enlightening as if your feet are going to cramp it will probably occur at that point.

A squeeze is not an issue as air flows through the socks even if the fit is snug.

wow thanks for the quick response guys!
The boots are neoprene lined under rubber and I can get a thin pair of fleece socks on, so I should be fairly warm!
Also they are no tighter than the wet suit boots that I currently where, so I should be OK with cramp.
Thanks again for your replys/ Steve:D

Worrying about nothing.

I get an uncomfortable squeeze on the top of my foot (boots and fins different sizes due to 2nd hand suit...) whilst standing up.

Under water though with ambient air in and the squeeze isnt an issue. Far better than wearing too many socks and risking floaty feet.
