Is this open to the public? Are there any costs/fees besides campsite?

Yes!! I am looking forward to another fest!! The Double A's are suppose to be able to make this trip and hopefully the weather will be a bit warmer!! :D

SpringFest is a gathering of scuba junkies from around the US. Anyone who can be tolerated by other divers is more than welcome to join in (we're pretty tolerable, especially on Saturday night) :eyebrow:

You will have to pay your own travel costs, and camping fee. There are camp sites with electrical hook-ups, spots for RV's, and even cabins if you don't like sleeping on an air mattress.

There are springs in the area that you can dive for free (Morrison), and other springs that you have to pay to dive (Vortex). There is usually a group that goes into Panama City to dive the jetties, or a boat charter on Saturday, and there is usually karaoke and a cookout on Saturday night. If you want to eat, you would be expected to pitch-in by bringing food, drink or plates, cups, etc, and/or by working the grill for the non-cooks that just brought food. Some folks do all of the above, and some folks are bums. We all love the guys and gals that do all of the above, and pretend to like the bums ;)

Seriously though, it's lots of fun, and a great way to meet new divers in the area.
