Well it is already Feb., logged another 4 ice dives last weekend up at the lakes water temps. were a balmy 35 degrees.
Sunday after we stowed our gear away we began the process of dismantling the Ice shack we use, will probaly get one or two more dives under the ice but, soon spring will be here and the drysuit will be mothballed until next fall unless,I can get to some colder water for some wreck diving before then.
Being alittle nostalgic but, actually looking forward to warmer diving however will miss 60 foot viz. for sure as in the winter under the ice is the only time we get that good of viz. around here, summer the viz. drops to 2 ft. to 20ft. with the average about 12 feet.
Of course once summer is gone I will curse the cold and rue the day I have to don my drysuit but, after the first ice dive of the year it is worth all the trouble once I can enjoy the viz. and the beauty of ice diving..............
