Spring Bar size on an Aeris Atmos Elite?

Hi All,

Just scored an Aeris Atmos Elite. After reading all the horror stories of folks having a spring bar, buckle, strap failure and lose their computer (as well as my near lost experience of my 750 GT) - I want to set this up with a NATO or ZULU strap (maybe bungee if I can bring myself to cutting the straps) - Does anyone know the spring bar size of this computer?

If anyone has done this to their Aeris Atmos Elite - how hard was it to change the straps?

I dont have an Elite but I do have an Atmos 2 on the Aeris wristband. The springbars are 30mm end-to-end unmounted. The barrel is 24mm long and the band is 24 or 25mm lug-to-lug. The springbar is a "Citizen" type with the double ridge ends. It appears to be stainless and large diameter ... probably 2mm. You might be able to use Seiko "fatbars" but I haven't tried. Fatbars are super-duty but have slightly larger diameter ends (the tip that goes in the lug). I would think you could use a Zulu/military band but haven't tried that either.

Pls post if you come up with a reasonable bungee mount.

at the bequest of SB forum people deep sea supply has made bungee mounts for the T3, I think that is the same form factor as your computer,

Yep, the DSS bungee mount fits the Elite (I have 2). A bit of a bear to extract the Elite from its original wrist strap mount but once that's done its a simple install to the DSS mount.
