Wonder if you could put an intermediate pressure air tank after the reg to store a larger quantity of air? Even a portable "air pig" should give you more consistent flow. Treat the scuba cylinder/reg as the 'compressor' - it can catch up in between trigger pulls on the paint gun. Add in another reg+cylinder in parallel to feed the system and you'd get more flow and less chance of freezing anything up.

If you are using smaller 12L tanks or multiple tanks manifolded, just redo the numbers as above to get an approximate run time for your spray gun!

I know someone who does with with an Ingersoll-Rand scroll compressor in his garage - he didn’t want a big 60 gallon tank. He rigged up a 5 gallon tank from Harbor Freight as the surge tank.

Doesn’t sound like a bad idea, actually.

I used a Tactix 25L collapsible plastic crate which by chance exactly holds two Aldi bags!
I've since added four rubber feet to allow the loaded crate to be lifted off the bike and set down securely without wobbling on the SnapIt carrier frame.

Aha... I just use the cooler bags to carry stuff around the store, if it won't fit in the bags I can't carry it home anyway!
No trolley so no quarter needed
