SPG Failure - screw came out

Sure use it.
Test it against a known pressure, to confirm accuracy. But I would forsure use it.. it was assembled on a Monday or Friday. I am sure you did a better job the the factory worker.
 
Any thoughts on if I could/should actually use the repaired SPG?
Why wouldn't you? You fixed the problem. As long as the bourdon tube isn't damaged, it will work just fine.
 
About 30 years ago there was a problem with some SPGs, I think Apollo from memory. The screw would come out similar to this one. However, the big problem was that it often stopped the pointer from going down and people were not noticing this till they had very little air. They thought they had (say) 100 bar but really had 15 as the pointer was stuck at 100. Very dangerous and bad design that let this happen.
