Dear Washington State Divers,
Most of you have probably heard by now of the specialized diver license plate that WSA is trying to push through. The process is long and complicated, and we've got pretty much everything in place - everything EXCEPT for the required 3500 signatures on the petition.
The deadline is fast approaching in less than two weeks - August 15th! At this point we are only about HALFWAY to our goal of the required signatures. If we fall short, we have to wait another 2 years before trying again.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
- Drop by your local dive shop and sign the petition if you haven't already done so.
- If you can't get to your local shop, go to the WSA website, download the signature sheet, sign it, and snail mail it into WSA. www.wascuba.org
- Tell your friends, dive buddies, dive clubs, shop email lists, fellow students, co-workers, etc about the need to act FAST!
- Spread the word to all our warm water or non-active dive friends out there that you know!
