It felt good to finally complete Spring prep and launch for the season. Yesterday was a great day contrary to the marine forecast calling for 3-5' seas and Gale Warning. In extended Salem Harbor we had 1-2' seas with nominal winds. We dove at Halfway Rock then Paddock in virtually calm seas. Winds out of the north favor these spots of course but it was a great afternoon.

Anyone else splash for the season? Marlene perhaps?

Very cool - but the commercial providers don't count for this thread ;) We're talking regular ordinary owners who've had to live sans boat since October.

Hi, Matt
Nope not yet....it will be in the water in a few weeks. the outdrive was taken off this past weekend and something is being done to it..it will be put back together this coming weekend, the oil is going to be changed and it will be ready to put in. For me it's too cold still, hubby has been dying to get it in the water ASAP and go. I figured it will be in a few weeks. You couldn't wait any longer hu?

My boat is de-winterized and I started it up. It's about ready to go, but I only have weekends right now to boat.
I trailer it everywhere...24 foot Stingray cabin cruiser. Probably not going this weekend, the forecast doesn't look good. Maybe the following, and then I get some during the week time to take it out after that. Besides, the water is still a bit too cold for me right now....I'm a wuss, I know....lol....

Matt is the only brave soul that does it now.

I've been out twice this month. Lots of new boat gadgets and toys to try out and so far they all work.

Yeah the weather is definitely hit or miss this time of year. This past Monday was a great Spring day to be out there. I think the extended for Sat looks OK too but we never really know until we arrive (ha ha) and in terms of the marine forecast 48 hours or less is useable for planning in my experience.

We'll have to plan a NE Diver rendezvous one of these days.

Marlene we of course have to meet this summer!

Ya, didn't we say that all last summer? ha,ha,ha...maybe this yr. finally will get to meet. I can't wait to get out there again...it was so much fun last yr. and you and hubby can do some diving together.

Mine is going in on May 22nd. Here in New England the Weather has really sucked for the last few years in late April/May according to my log, so there isn't much point in rushing to get it in the water. There are no docks in at my Marina until middle of the month either. Of course I have my little 13' Avon to get me out there in case we have a rare decent day before we splash.
