Spare trigger spring suggestion

I recommend that Ikelite add a spare trigger spring when you purchase a new DSLR housing as I have found that after a lot of use that this spring losses its effort to bounce back and slows down the ability to take rapid shots.

Maybe a re-design of this trigger spring for the shutter release.??/

We typically find that the two main factors to this spring losing its return are either 1) activating it repeatedly without a camera installed or 2) salt build up on the control making the control rotate less easily. This is not something we receive very many requests for replacement of. However a replacement could definitely be obtained through your local dealer.

Hi Jean.

I thought it would be a great idea to add one of these to the little spares bag which you recieve when buying a new housing. Unfortunately out in this side of the world it takes at least several days if not weeks to get any spares which are not commonly in stock.

BTW I saw the spring for the trigger setup on the Ikelite G11 housing. It looks more stronger than what I have on my Nikon D90 and D80 housings.
