You will be fine in a 7 mil. I wish I could dive with you but I have that pesky thing called a job that keeps getting in the way of my fun time. I am thinking of trying to hit a spring a week from Sunday if you are still here. Maybe Hudson Grotto or something.
 
The shop down the road is Sea Trek Divers. Very nice people. Call before you go, however. There's been an illness in the family so they have been operating at reduced hours. Other shops near by are ScubaQuest on Manatee Ave. (SR 64) and Ocean Pro (?) on Cortez.
 
My wife and I dove Spanish Rocks yesterday and conditions were almost ideal. Viz was 10-15, surf and surge non-existant. The only detractor was temp. Water temp was 64! I guess that front that blew cooled things off a bit, but the water should start warming warming up soon.Bttm time 34 minutes.
