With all the people showing up parking could be an issue. Maybe a local business might let us use their lot for this. Peak season will be over and it is for a good cause. Just a thought.

I'm sure both Greg and Carl will be working on the parking and make some type of arrangements. Hopefuly more to report soon!

I have heard from a few peeps about this clean up. To clear up any confusion, MoteMan, this clean up will involve removing monofilament (fishing lines) and other items that don't belong in the water environment like bottles, cans, plastic of any kind and trash like that, correct? :cool2:

You are correct, also ghost crab traps(abandoned traps), discarded rope, and I have heard a report of an abandonded net on the far south end of the rocks. I'm not sure if it's a gill net or an old shrimp net. I believe Florida Underwater Sports is planning to have a boat or a couple of boats on site to help haul large items, and i'm planning to bring my yak to help haul stuff also.

I can bring my kayak as well to collect trash in while we are out there diving. It is a sit-in so it would be great to haul stuff back to the beach. Can't really dive from it but can float it out as a dive flag holder and trash collector. :D

Just a thought, in the past we've had people drop their stuff, go park @ the Shells shopping plaza, and bring them back. :)

Ok,

Billy and I are in, I will have my support crew on the beach...
