Hello All,

I'm at work right now and can not verify this on my regulator, but I am looking over a SP MK 10 parts list 10-5x0-000 dated 02/01 and the list shows the o-ring for the yoke nut as being the same part number as the HP plug o-ring. If I remember correctly the yoke nut o-ring is slightly smaller (perhaps a -011) than the HP plug. A HP plug is typically a 7/16 which takes a -012 o-ring.

My MK 10 is about 20 years old and I am making a list of the parts I will need to overhaul it.

I just had a browse at some other diagrams and I see that most of the SP 1st stages list the HP plug o-ring and the yoke o-ring as the same item number.

Am I missing something?

Thank you,

Your '01 schematic and my '97 schematic say the same thing and are correct (works for me anyway). The HP plug and the yoke nut are both 2-011. (I think I have used both duro 90 and duro 75 for the yoke nut with no problems.) The LP plugs are 2-010. HP piston 2-010, duro 90. LP piston 2-017. Cap 2-117. Swivel 2-017 (that strikes me as being large but that is what is on my list). Seat retainer 2-015. HP seat 2-013 (red washer in new kits).

But I have found errors in their schematics before so it is always worth checking if something doesn't look right.

Awap,

Thank you for your detailed answer and email. For the sake of this thread....

A -011 makes sense for the yoke fitting to 1st stage interface, but that is where I think the discrepancy is. The drawing shows the HP ports as being a 7/16'' plug/hose which usually take a 2-012...The L/P plug/hose is normally 3/8'' and use a 2-011 according to the references I have- see:

That's what Oxyhacker says alright. But I just pulled o-rings off of spare LP & HP port plugs and they are -010 and -011 respectively. I checked them against the size charts in Oxyhacker's book and in the Scubapro schematics, I measured them on a ruler, and I matched them up against new o-rings in their bags. I even slipped a -011 on to an LP port plug. It is a very loose fit and I doubted if it would seal. Still not quite satisfied, I tryed to install it in an LP port on a Mk2. It will not fit in the groove. It extrudes as I tighten it.

I guess we are too used to removing an old o-ring and matching it up against our supply of replacements without paying much attention to the numbers. I worked the numbers out for myself when I first got started and crossreferenced Scubapro part #, AS # and sizes (ID, OD, W).

Give it a try and let me know what you find.

Thanks again awap,

Will do.....thank you for going thru all this trouble.....Have a good trip to CZM...
