If I'm not mistaken, it was the MK5 that had the brass turret retaining bolt that were recalled and not the MK25. Appearently some "techs" would over torque them and stretch the bolt which could fail and the turret could separate from the body while under pressure.

The MK25 and MK20 use the same tuuret bolt. I think they are stainless steel and not brass.

The recall on the MK20 was not for the swivel retaining bolt. It was for the yoke retainer. Essentially this was being overtightened and causing the body of the regulator to crack. I know that I still have a few that come in that have not been done and we normally stock at least one update kit. A dealer should be able to go straight to Scubapro for the update kit.

Yeah just not in NZ!

I know the MK20 and MK25 use the same part. Early MK20s used brass. Later release MK20's and MK25's use stainless steel.

So anyone know where I can get a stainless MK20 or MK25 turret retaining bolt?
PMs welcome. Discretion assured!

OK….I know I'm a day late and a dollar short with this info, but if anyone else runs into this problem:

According to the parts breakdown charts I have, the MK-10, MK-20, and MK-25 all use the same swivel retainer SP part number 10-500-104. I once had a problem (sheared retainer) with a MK 10 and could not find a SS retainer, so I bought a
TUSA TR-400 Imperex first stave swivel retainer TUSA p/n TR-401-59 which looks identical.

Well done BWD and Packhorse.
