Another perspective...this is after running the white-balance routine (found somewhere on this board) in photoshop.

I got to thinking it might look a little better with more focus on the subject...

Thanks for the PSing, I knew if I posted it here it would be worked on and enhanced a bit. I also mostly posted it to show the kind of pics the camera can take. I have no regrets with my purchase and maybe someday will actually get to use it in calm conditions :D

I would love the link to the white balance routine as well!

I wish I could get a good shot of an octopus like that...they're one of my favorite creatures. Here's the link for the photoshop whitebalance adjustments. It was written specifically for 6.0 and 7.0, so if you have something different, you may need to find the correct menus.

Thanks for the link. I was just freak luck that I saw the Octopus someone else pointed it out and I ran (well maybe finned) with it. I was really shocked to see it. The photo was taken between 11:15 and noon and my max depth on that dive was 37 ft. so it was pretty shallow. I have several others, I will try to get them loaded into my photobucket and will PM you the link once they are there.

I actually have CS2, I need to take a class, I was too late for the Fall class, but I am keeping my eyes open for the winter one and I will sign up immediately.

Thinking about getting this camera but don't have time right now to fully read the whole thread. so far I finished page 27. Seems like a great camera but as I understand its already no longer in production.

Just wanted to let you guys know, it doesn't do too bad on video either...I had posted a little clip in the videography section, here's my finished video. It's about 14mb and at 320x240

My Video

Very cool Torry, who knew it could so that well. How much play time did you get on the 1gig card and how many cards edited did it take to make that video.

Seems we are both newbies with this camera.

Nice video torry! I havn't used the video function on the camera yet but seeing this I will have to try it next dive.

How did you splice together the various takes to make the one video? (I know nothing about video editing software)

Ditto whats the best way to distribute a video so I can be veiwed by other SB members?

Cheers,
Rohan.
