One of my SP-350's has started recording everything as though it's solarized.

I didn't reset it. I have seen this "feature" on other digital cameras, but can't find any setting like this in the SP-350's mode settings.

I was using the camera at a wedding. It seemed to be running hot, the camera was physically warm.

Is something cooked or is there a setting I have overlooked?

Can you put up an example of one of your solarized pictures? That way I can see if I can replicate the issue with my camera.

When you say solarized do you mean halo around edges? See if a color is missing. I experienced a color segment drop out and everything turned green and whiteish. Could still see images but green. Camera was returned to manufacturer for replacement -- unrepairable--. Salvaged image in photoshop by converting to black and white.

Here's an example of what occurred. I have seen such a setting in other P&S cameras, but can't find such a setting on the SP-350. I also don't know why this happened and dread having it do this on a dive.

This occurred slowly. I was picking up subtle color abberations in some photos taken of brightly backlighted people. I thought it was because of the lighting and wanted to see the images on a computer. Then things started getting worse and it wouldn't go away. The camera felt unusually warm as I was using it. I finally tried the Reset button in setup mode and that corrected the problem. I did this after posting my initial question to the board.

Attached is an example.

You sure that couple doesn't just work at the local nuclear power plant? Everyone else in the photo looks fine!
