I`ll be at the lakes too...i`m even thinking on setting up the tent and I want to do a night dive......did you here that Tony????Yes ,I`m off for three glorious days and plan on being wet most of the time...See ya`ll there.:D

See! I heard it! Eat, dive, sun, dive, dive, chat, eat, dive, rest, dive, dive, eat, dive.......get the picture? Swampers point is "Reserved" for the whole weekend! (at least that is what I told Mike).....Dee, you bringin' your banner?

See ya there.....

So who's bringin' fireworks?.....hehe

Well guys, it looks gloomy for offshore on the 4th at this point, Tropical Storm Bill may run shack dab over where we are supposed to be diving, plus the effects of run-off killing viz, etc. I talked to Melissa about changing plans, and she said that diving, eating, chatting, diving, eating, and chatting some more at TL sounded good. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens in the Gulf.

Had a great day out there today. Got the banner packed. We were talking about going out Thursday instead of Friday, putting up our canopy and hanging the banner to mark our spot. The place was jam packed full at 8:30 this morning! I figure the place will either be packed or we'll be some of few who are there because of the holiday.

Our friends Nick and Paula, Dive shop Joe, Inst. Debbie and Chris, and a new guy we met today plan to be there, as well as Tony and Bren, TPH, and us. Maybe ChrisP and Melissa. Nice group going.

This sounds good. But I will be at the wonderful "Clearwater Beach" in West Des Moines Iowa with the shop "Iowa State Skin Diving School". I am interested to see how this turns out. Probably will be more like the Blue Lagoon than anything.

By the way was at Blue Lagoon this weekend with Montgomery County Kingwood summer scuba college classes. This is three times a year deal I cant get out of(and really dont want to anyway) TSDT member "Colt" was there and we did a couple of dives together.

What is the water temp out at TL?

I do believe the 4th may be good time for me to get down there and try it out. Wednesday afternoons are a bit harder for me to swing...

Melissa and I are scheduled to be going offshore diving on July 4th, but if it gets blown out we will probably head down to TL.

Where offshore were you planning on diving? I've wanted to do some shore diving on the Texas Gulf, but I've never been sure where the best diving is.

Surface temps yesterday were 87º. Down to the first T-cline at 23ft, it was 81º and in the 50's swiftly below that!

If I acted coquetish and cute, could I borrow a tank or two at the Lakes on the 4th? I'm starting my Trek Across America (not really across America, but a pretty big vacation for me) and while I'd like nothing better than to dive with y'all on the 4th, getting tanks up here would be counter-indicated (as I don't want to drive with empty tanks for a week before getting back to CS, especially with a packed car ;) ).

I don't want to be a big bother (and hey, I'll be happy to bring a few bucks to cover rental :) ), but I thought I'd ask.

Hope y'all have some good diving today!

jeff

I'm sure we could scare you up a tank. I'll check with Beast on our tank inventory. I know Mike has one of our AL80's but not sure about the others. I keep up with my steel tanks, not the AL ones!

What about this big trip? Where to?
