Southern California Shore Diving: Looking for Buddies

I just moved to Long Beach a few weeks ago and I want to get in the water already! The only problem is that I am not familiar with any of the dive sites and all my dive buddies are back in florida. I am a DM from the east coast, but am now going to college out here so I am on a budget (i.e. cant afford to boat dive). I was wondering if anyone is planning on going shore diving in SoCal anytime soon and would be willing to let me tag along.

How far are you willing to drive? Starting next week I'll be diving regular with a couple guys in Malibu. You are welcome to join us.

I live in the Orange County area but can make it as far as Redondo Beach. If you're interested to dive then we can schedule a time.
