Don't see the fire - I think pasley had (and has) a valid point and was just trying to be helpful.

For my .02, it seems like JPBeck has more "extreme" diving on his mind, so he should limit his scope for his potential group and there would be little or no overlay with "other" groups for us recreational types.

He modified the post after I wrote that so you could see it. But, what ever-- Dont really care--- We did a beach dive last night that was in Twenty feet of water so if that is "extreme" then I guess we are just plum crazy!

Right - I didn't see the first post. But on the other hand, I was just trying to be helpful in saying that you should try to form a more specialized group more compatible with the type of diving you seem most interested in. I understand that not every dive will be "extreme," but the group of divers might be. It's all good, and I wish scuba-tude the best.

JPBECK:
No shame---Thats sad... Why would you post the Sandeaters here on my post...We are two completely seprate groups ---The Sandeaters only go out on Sundays and off the beach only, according to their Web Site --Whereas we go out all the time: off boats, and beaches... You need to check your fire!

I think its selfish of you to want the divers of Southern Ca to only be your your group.

Respectfully yours
JB

Is there an ulterior motive here? Generally, people don't get so 'bent' (no pun intended) on this kind of issue. It almost feels....commercial? And no, I am not a member of Sandeaters..not even on their email list.

Ya I have a motive to Dive with as many Cool people as possible-

Thats a reasonable motive....how does participating in a previously established SoCal Dive Group do anything but improve the chances of that happening? Where is the 'shame' in pointing that out?

Not looking to make an issue out of this, just trying to understand the personality of your group.

I know that I am just a new guy here-- But it seems like you guys are ganging up on JP- he seems like he just wants to help people joint ogether to dive. Who cares if there is already a group- cant there be more...

I may be new here but I do know Web trolling when I see it- and you guys are trying to bait JP- I am going to his site now to Join- Besides EOD guys gota stick -CHEW CHEW SPIT- jp knows what I mean -

JPBECK:
I guess your right about that-but the type of tech dives we go on usaully mean going down to 300 fsw---which is not a depth that you want to find out that buddy is not ready for---

I am pretty certain I wouldn't be diving to 300ft with someone I never dove with before.

Anyway do you guys dive the oil rigs?

Karen
