We are looking for some good shore diving sites in south Florida. Probably anywhere from Jupiter down to Miami. We have dove the Blue Heron Bridge but we are looking for some good sites off the beach. We also tried another shore dive at Pepper Park south of Vero Beach and it was not a very good dive. Any help or advice would be great.
Thanks

you must have hit Pepper on a bad day. We dove there this morning. Good viz and flat like glass seas. Tons of fish-life though nothing big today. We've see everything from various sharks, to cobia, to doormat sized flounder to awesome turtles. got some other good sites here near vero. sunday's plan is to dive Riomar Reef around 0830/0900.

LBTS is a favorite. The locals can provide more info but its not that difficult. Jump in, swim to the first reef (maybe 75 yards), swim to the second reef if desired. Do not forget to breath!

Here is the jetty at the far south end of Singer Island beach One of Florida's best shore dives...the Jetty at the Palm Beach inlet..The Pumphouse... - YouTube this was a poor vis day..many here are 100 foot vis days.
To do this, pretty much someone needs to drop you off at the end of the perimeter road, and you need to have gear off car fast, so the local Barney Fife does not try to give the driver a ticket for illegal parking.

I love diving lbts. Parking.is hard to get and metered but the dives are great. datura ave, the copenhagen, the jacks. I would stop in at gold coast scuba for fills and anything else. But if you.are staying at one of the hotels there, parking wouldn't be an.issue

Get a copy of Ray Mcallisters-Beach Diving and Snorkeling spots. It will provide enough beach sites to keep you busy for quite awhile. Good directions and descriptions for SE FL beach dives, most dive shops carry it

here's a thread on LBTS: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/florida-conch-divers/290550-lauderdale-sea-beach-dive.html

Gold Coast Scuba is nearby and they have a meetup group that does a lot of shore diving. You should check out their shop and the meetup group if you want to shore dive. Gold Coast Scuba Divers (954) 616-5909 (Fort Lauderdale, FL) - Meetup

Here's another shore dive resource: Scuba Shore Diving Site Listing for: Florida, USA East

Dania Beach is also a great site (sometimes known as 'Sea Tech Ledges').
