Neither is the UB88. :)
When you make a mark on Google maps it usually takes several tries before it places the marker on the correct spot.

Anyone have / know of a link to descriptions of each of these wrecks (including depth information)? Trying to compile a list of interesting dives in the 100-170' range in the SoCal area. If such already exists, a link to that as well would be most appreciated!

I have a book on local wrecks which I purchased from Dive and Surf. It has been accurate at pinpointing a few of the wrecks. When I find the book I will publish its title online.

Sonar has been good at pinpointing some of our exploration. Side Scan Sonars are now available at reasonable cost.

I love diving at the Palawan. There are these massive white translucent/transparent fishies that hug the sand like black-eyed gopies but about ten or twenty times larger. I don't know what they are but they definitely ain't afraid of human.

Southern California Ocean Fishing - Shipwrecks & Artificial Reef Fishing
The numbers here will get you in the general neighborhood. Jeff Spira's book Wrecks and Reefs, Spira International Fishing and Nautical Books has good numbers within the chapters. The ones in the boxes are not good. http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/0975352407/ref=sib_dp_ptu#reader-link Click on "surprise me" for numbers of the Palawan and others. Each time you click on "surprise me" you get different pages.

Even better ... using our dive simulator now you can VIRTUALLY DIVE the Olympic II (and other dive sites) from your home.

Our GPS coordinates are extremely precise; we use actual bathymetry data to position the wrecks underwater. ;)
