Sorb-how much bouncing around in car is bad for packed scrubbers?

So first I stopped half way through tying a 10mm bungee net for the bed of my ute so do I start tying again
 
Some units are spring loaded and compress the sorb I think? I think the inspo did that. The prism2 I dive has a spring that keeps the sorb canister against an o ring, but no heavy spring to keep sorb compressed inside the sorb canister — just a thin foam thing.

The KISS Spirit units utilize set of springs in the head, which apply pressure to a wire mesh lid positioned atop the scrubber material. While the exact degree of compression unclear, springs effectively fill any minor gaps in the sorb and secure it to prevent movement.

Driving around with your canisters to pack them seem pretty silly as an intentional activity. I just whack on the sides of the canisters with a soft side 1KG weight. That does a great job of packing without mangling my hands in the process. When I load the CCR's in the car they are always vertical.
 
If you think a car or a boat ride is bad, you should have a team of 10 dry cavers haul your packed sidewinder, bailouts, drysuit, and lead in pieces a few kilometers through a dry cave then assemble it and dive.
 
Letting the scrubber dry out ? why?

You know sorb needs moisture to work correctly ?

My anecdote: The Prism 2 scrubber is annoying to pack and doesn't have a spring to compensate for settling, but its soft mesh sides do allow you to squeeze it and feel how tight the packing is, unlike some other scrubbers. I have often experienced carefully packing it tight, taking it on a very bumpy car + boat ride to dive, then finding the pack significantly looser at the end of the day. It's unsettling to find (no pun intended) but actual breakthrough is not an issue that I or anyone I dive with has experienced. "Overpacking" it slightly, or topping it up after settling, does reduce this issue.

(I should note that scrubber packing is my biggest gripe about the P2, it's a fantastic unit otherwise, and you actually can get a better meg style scrubber for it)

If the ride to a dive site were ever an especially lengthy and violent trip via dirt road or flat bottom speedboat I might consider checking or topping up the pack on location.

Same experience I have. Well, I will pack it and use it at quarry then when I get home to clean it and dispose of the sorb I notice it is sold by weight not volume.

It came with a sponge for the top and to be fair mine is pretty thin and original.
