Hello everyone. My name is Greg. I live in Anchorage because the Army decided to put me here. Will be taking open water classes in October and November and was referred here by a guy from Sunshine Sports where I will be taking classes. I'm trying to find the best equipment for me so he said this was the place to get opinions. Who can help with mask, fins, snorkel, gloves, boots and a knife? I need suggestions. Not broke, but the Army doesn't pay too well so affordability and safety are prime concerns. I'm also looking for a dive buddy or group here in Alaska. Thanks for the help. Stay safe. -Greg-

What ever brand name equipment you get it's got to be comfortable to you. Ill fitting gear can hurt your preformance. Try it on and be sure it fits well. Hope you find what you need and welcome to the world of diving-waterdawg40-

welcome aboard. Read the equipment section and ask questions. In general terms I like scubapro but a lot may depend on your LDS and service availability. Post questions and you will get plenty of advice
