Hi Everyone, First I use a Malibu two XL Kayak. My wife and I both go on trips and I still can use it solo also and I like the extra room while solo, to each his own.
I have read some posts with people using GPS and some don't. Each sometimes had a bit of time finding their "place" underwater. I also have a portable GPS I use, but I also take along a Hummingbird Portable Fish Finder 160. It has its own rechargeable battery, suction cup for transducer, own carrying case, shows bottom features quite well, Cost at Cabelas is 130.00 last I looked, but I got mine on sale cheaper. Yes its one more thing but for me its worth it. For more details on unit I am sure you can go to the Hummingbird site. If I can help let me know on post or pm

I am moving to Fla. in August(Treasure Island) and am looking forward to Kayaking alot(Scuba, Snorking, fishing, etc) in many places.

Also the whole above unit takes up about a foot square.

Stay Safe,

Rick
