Wow...just goes to show you can't believe what you read on scubaboard. I have heard nothing but horror stories about NELD dives....multiple NDEs, etc.

Be patient... I've not hooked up with Tom for some diving yet!

We can't be that bad.... we all have the Mares HUB bc (beyond crap) system, spare air, back-mounted pony's, air2 octos, 21in. hoses on our primaries, heavy duty pads on wet/dry suits so the bottom crawling doesn't tear the suits, 27 extra d-rings, gated clips on every d-ring (some rings have 2... for redundancy, you know), BFK strapped to each leg, 50+lbs of lead to help stay on the bottom, and consoles dragging along below us.

Gee, While I was at my LDS signing up for a DIRF (Dec 6) I see things went on quite nicely without me.
I have two things to say about this thread:
First, all your asses are grass if you ever get in the water with me!
Second, It means a lot to have friends like you guys. I love giving and taking $hit like this. Its been a loooong time since I've laughed as hard as I did when I saw that pic of the diver in sneakers!
Don't ever change folks. but do watch your backs

Well, I'm currently planning on being down there first week of June... I'm playing with the idea of sticking around through the week instead of heading back right after WMII is done.
Although there is always the chance I get fed up with work, burn some FFmiles and head down for a weekend!

I can't wait to get down there...I know we will be in High Springs for Cave 1 in the spring, but I may make a winter trip down there...maybe we will bag Bonaire and come down to the Keys instead...at least I could drive and bring all my own gear. I have a set of quattros you can have if you want them too
