Thanks! Now I understand what Jan is referring to.

I remember reading this and thinking to myself that I need to see if Florida has their own dive reports, so that I can move the post there. Well they didn't have one and I forgot to do something with it after deciding to think about what to do with it.

I just now moved it to the Florida Conch Divers forum and created an April '05 Dive Report thread. Maybe it will catch on there. :eyebrow:

Christian
This sounds like a good idea. Hopefully more of you will see my SOCDC boat dives... :wave-smil

When I was reading that report, I looked at the date the "dive" happened. It looked to me like an "April Fools" prank report. :jester: Honestly, Megladon teeth :hai: in a river? Wrong kind of plate techtonics there for that to be possible.

This sounds surprisingly like what I suggested last year in the "AAAHHH, too many stickies" thread that was shot down in flames as being "too confusing!!!" :eyebrow:

Interesting thread you had back then Robert. I do believe it wasnt the mods' choice to have the end result that occured in that thread, they just facilitated what the crowd called for. However this board is getting bigger, people move around - i even posted something up last summer when i came over to Ventura Co. ;)

I can only say that using the FCD system each day/week does make things seem to run simpler, keeps trips and such from more mundane stuff, like interesting local stories, b'days etc that get quickly pushed aside by the ever advancing. When i next make a trip i would most likely look in the T&MP sub-forum to see what is going on and post up my intents on that trip....

No worries. I was just ruminating over the fact that I was right ;)

You mean gloating! ;)

One does not use that kind of term ;)

Yes, you called it right on the money back then, but it was an idea before its time. We all just needed time to see the wisdom in your idea. :eyebrow:

Simbrooks is right by the way, we did simply facilitate what the crowd called for. After speaking to many people since then, I have been led to believe that this is now what the crowd would like better.

If you get a chance this weekend you should hop up to Leo Carrillo and join us on Sunday when you have a day off. If you are allowed to go that far from home that is. ;)

Yeah, well it's the first and last time I'll ever be right (at least as far as my wife is concerned ;) )

People are fickle like that. They don't like an idea until they rethink it as their own :eyebrow:

I'll be at the X-Scooter demo in Laguna on Sunday checking out the nifty toys Andrew has come up with!!!

I read about that!

It looks like he's really got a great scooter when you compare to the Gavins and Silent Submersions. He just doesn't have a long time track record yet. I'm sure that will take care of itself in due time.

I think a short body version of the X-Scooter would be perfect around here. It's on my list of cool stuff for the future.

Be sure to let us know what cool toys you discover and have fun!

I recall that site, very nice, except the huge potholes/ankle breakers and rocks around the lefthand side (south/east?). One day.....

Track records take time - hence the track over time part of the name, but it sounds like there is a good following already.
