travelmadness:
cool videos. what type of video player is that?

For what I know, it is a flash player, that plays flv. -files. When I upload my mpegs to the web server it converts them to smaller flv.-files. It is also possible to download the flv-file from the server instead of watching it streamline. However, I dont know which player plays downloaded .flv -files.

Does anyone know this filetype? How can I watch downloaded .flv -files?

travelmadness:
interesting. i have seen that player a few times recently, so it seems to be getting popular. i dont know about the .flv files

Here is the deal:

flv-files are FlashVideoFiles. Common players (Winamp, MediaPlayer etc.) cannot play them. If you download a video file that is in flv-format, you can play it using VLC-player. I highly recommend downloading and installing the VLC-player. I noticed that it plays everything. It is free. Here:

For what I know, flash video was invented for playing video "inside" a web site. If you have a fast internet connection, you can watch flash videos streamline, without downloading the video first.
