I am doing research for my A level in Business Studies where we have to create an imaginary business. I am in the research phase of creating a diving school. There is much of information that I need to find out and I was wondering if any of you know anything from the list below.
-Average annual spending on scuba equipment, or even what you individually spend,
-The amount of people per year who qualify as open water divers,
-Percentage of people in the world or even within a country who actively take part in scuba diving
-Whether scuba diving is in any way gender, class or age specific ie what sort of people take part in scuba diving,
-The cost to buy all the books and exams etc needed to get a basic open water qualification, (Ive forgotten),
-The general cost that would be associated with hiring equipment such as cylinders and the cost to refill it,
-The increase/decrease over recent years of the scuba market
Those are the main questions that need answering but if there is any other info or statistics that you have that might be in any way useful to my project PLEASE PLEASE post it!! Although i would like the facts, i dont mind if you make them up, I would make it up myself but I would probably come up with rediculous estimates and my project would look suspicous, and i would guess you would all be more knowlegeable in your estimates. Sorry for my bad english, I am actually Spanish at an English school. Thankyou so much to anyone that helps.

I would want to analyze the amount of Online purchases compared to Local Dive Shop (LDS) purchases. That seems to be the biggest change in the dive business in the last 5 years. Are you forming an Imaginary Dive School or Dive Shop?

So let me get this straight, you want us to provide you with the data you need for your study, but it doesn't make any difference if we lie about the data as long as you have somthing to hand in to the prof. Am I even close?

4, 340000, 6, 63, and 40986. Good enough? Seriously though, this isn't going to be easy. What city is your new business in? These statistics vary drastically.
