what? that is too much stuff. You know you have lost it when you buy the sherpa pants.

AND the camera? (scanning list for good ideas to steal) Why TWO spools?

impromptu will and testament? No, do that before you get off the boat, Kev. The hydration pack has me thinking. Can you imagine being adrift at sea and your buddy pulls out his "hydration pack"? Ya'll share EVERYTHING, right?

What I really want, more than anything, is the Breitling dive watch with the GPS pin. Tiny, practical.
That's my version of the "Peleliu Survival Pack"; Soon, I'm going to add a Personal EPIRB in a depth rated waterproof canister to the whole kit n' caboodle. . .

No, I'd just take it from her, I'm bigger and stronger than she is.:D

OH, Peleliu! In that case, i'll take one too.

I was just kidding you. looks great actually. Obviously, you would make a very excellent buddy. I think if I did Peleliu again, I would be a bit more serious. Talk about "trust me" diving! Definetly get chummy with the captain. Many times, divers treat their golf caddies with more respect. I have seen so many divers that never even speak to their captain, the guy that is dropping them someplace like that...

When you research the EPIRB's, let me know what to do. I thought the guy's idea of putting one in a camera housing sounded good. They need to get a bit smaller and in the 300 dollar range and I will bite. I think that may be right around the corner.

Well guys, today I thumbed my solo dive. I am confident in my abilities to self-rescue myself in my usual diving but today the viz was at around 7 feet. Now I may not have the suitable experience levels to make the pundits approve of my solo diving(not that I care) but I do have enough common sense to know at which levels I am comfortable in solo diving. Really wanted that dive too but I would not solo those conditions.

Yes, I admit it. I dive SOLO. I have for 41 years and yes, it does increase the overall risk to the diver. However, the extent of that increased risk is very hard to quantify. For example, I know what I need to dive solo. I know that I am limited in depth, time, and quality of water I dive in. Knowing your limits is an essential part of diving in general and solo in particular.

Don't let the DIR types hear that or they'll beat you with a long hose
