Just reserved a spot on the Solmar V for a trip to Socorro next January. Was wondering if any other divers here have had experiences recently on the boat. Would you go again? Can anyone tell me what conditions I should expect for an early January trip next year?

We have a 2 trips just after new years 2011.

I have been visiting the area since 1994 and what can I say , it is amazing. January water temp will be around 23 to 25 C. Whale sharks are possible as well as the rest of the usual stuff.
