I have recently become aware of Softwear undergarments (http://home.att.net/~gchev91/)

I already own a DUI 400G undergarment and I am looking for a lighter weight undergarment (200G) for warmer and less serious dives. I have been considering the DUI 200G thinsulate undergarment. The softwear is much cheaper, but I am curious as to what other factors people are using in making their decisions.

As I see it:

Advantages of DUI 200G:
water repellent (i.e. doesn't soak)
potentially warmer (for example, when combined with argon)

Advantages of Softwear:
cheaper
custom fit
can be washed

Anything else I am missing?

I think you have most of the salient points.

Personally I wanted something custom cut at a reasonable price that would keep me warm on <60 minute dives in mid 50's water. Ended up with softwears 300g and I'm very happy with it.

First of all, Janice (softwear) makes her stuff out of Polarfleece. Its nice. Its warm. Its not as good if your suit floods as Thinsulate. The good news is lots of divers use Polarfleece. Unless you are a deep, technical, decompression diver Polarfleece undergarments are fine.

GO with it. You will not be dissapointed...

I'll have to second the "You will not be dissapointed" thought. I first learned about Softwear and Janice through Scubaboard like most people and finally ordered a two piece "200" suit and a "100" vest. Janice was great throughout the order, very helpful to say the least. The garments have been excellent so far and are very comfortable. I will certainly purchase from her in the future.
