I'm liking the idea of the soft straps to mount a pony - rather than the pony tamer idea. Although im sure there is a massive improvement on using a bag, they still look like they may allow the pony to roll around. Can anyone tell me how well these perform?

If those are Zeagle pony bands above, I use them and they are rock soilid with NO rolling. In addition the pony is easily removed without taking the bands off. I like them very much but many people here will tell you not to mount it behind you but to sling it for a variety of reasons.

I can't speak to the setup in the photo, but I use an x-bracket to mount my 19 cu ft pony upside down on the main tank with it's own cam strap. It's rock solid and easy to switch out when you switch main tanks. If you go this route, definitely get a separate cam strap for the x-bracket rather than putting it on one of the BCD's straps. It's much easier to move/store/setup.

This display at DEMA encouraged people to try and shake the Zeagle pony bands.

They are so solidly locked on you can lift the primary tank by the pony without it shifting.

No hose clamps or extra bands required.

Looks decent. I use the QuickDraw instead of Zeagle, also quite convenient to use, a solid mount.

i just received mine today. They're not Zeagle though, theyre made by Buddy as a modification for their jackets. Hopefully they'll be as good!

just come back from a week trip in egypt and they were great, solid as a rock!

Glad they worked out for you. Another choice would have been the Ponease bottle mount. Mounts on the bcd cam bands not the tank so changing RENTAL tanks is a breeze...
