I've been to all three, Socorros twice. I'd disagree about shark action..I'd say you have the same or better in Socorros, plus throw in the manta and dolphin encounters that you won't get in either Cocos or Galapagos. At half the price and being much easier to get to, I consider the Socorros the superior option.[/QUOTE]

I have to agree with ocdiver about the sharks in Socorro. I haven't been to the Galapagos yet (April!!) but we saw schools of hammerheads at El Canon, plenty of other sharks at Roca (Galapagos, white tips, silkies, hammerheads), and I regularly see pics posted on facebook of huge schools of silkies there too. I was there in January a few years ago. Maybe you were just unlucky on your trip, but there are definitely plenty of sharks to see in Socorro.
