Anyone from Los Angeles/Orange County area know of a good resource for surf/swell conditions for the local beaches? Where do you usually look to find out where the diving will be best around here for a given day? I am also interested in Catalina and the other Channel Islands of course, but for a typical budget Saturday morning beach dive where do you look to get info? Thanks.

For local OC conditions and information on various beach dives in Laguna I usually check http://www.scuba-superstore.com. The site has quite a bit of helpful information on local dives, they also have a pre-recorded phone message on daily dive conditions which can be heard by calling (949) 494-6965.

It is the phone number and web site for Laguna Sea Sport.

The site I call home is southcoastdivers.com we dive almost every saturday, weather permitting and its a great group. Newbies and veterans can be found in the group and the dives range from 4 to a record 22 divers about 2 weeks ago. We typically dive Crescent Beach, Cress Street, Cleo or occasionally moss point. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for the helpfull links. They are just what I was lookin for.
