I was pulling into my slip when I heard the bearings grinding, so I quickly shut down the motor. I had the same issue with the other motor in January, so I recognized the sound. When the first bearing froze, it heated up the drive shaft which then sheared in two. I'm hoping the shaft on this motor won't need to be replaced, but it's still going to be more money spent and more time out of the water.I'm glad you got back to harbor ok. Did you need a tow?
