Braver than I am... 20kts+ wind blowing out of the east... We were on the water and it was unusual to see white caps when looking back at Redondo Beach.

It wasn't too bad in the morning. We needed to get fuel so we left for L.A Harbor at sunrise. The wind was out of the NE so we had whitecaps, but no swells. By the time we made it back to White Point Rock it was calm, so we decided to dive. The rain began within one minute of surfacing so we high-tailed it back to Redondo Beach. It was too bumpy for a second dive, but the swells never got over two feet. It looks much worse today.

What were fuel prices at LA Harbor?
$3.70 for gas. The guy at King Harbor charges $4.87. A lot of the boaters in Redondo either bring fuel in cans or drive around to L.A Harbor. We save between $100 and $125 each time we fill up.

Beautiful pictures. Thanks.

What photo equipment do you use?
I'm using a Sea&Sea DX-1G. I've been saving for a DSLR that I hope to buy sometime in 2011.

A great reason to head to LA Harbor!

My favorite wreck and some of my favorite offshore reefs are off San Pedro, so that gives me an excuse to go there for fuel as well. I wish the wrecks in Santa Monica Bay had as much life on them.
