Top Side: Pictures of cactus with the ocean in the background, charred volcanic rock with cactus in the foreground... It is very much a geographic anomaly... one side of the island that encourages wind surfing and para-sailing races while the other side encourages lazy dives with ancient anchors from sailors past....

I have some of those pictures. They may be the most bazaar land based pictures I have ever taken. Thanks for the reminder - I love them and may just create a montage out of them.

I think he meant it as a complement, or at least acceptance. Friendships and groups of otherwise unrelated divers who like to dive and share trips together are understandable, and I suppose that the unofficial ones may be the more real ones - maybe? To me, it sounds more like a fraternal thing, family, etc. Anyway, not my style, but nice of him to tentatively invite me. .
