Had to bump in here as I wistfully & fondly remember snow - the pretty, light, bright white clean stuff (you know those 30 seconds before someone drives through it and when it isn't so cold your eyeballs freeze!)

It is, yet again, over 100 F here and has been since 8:30am! I love the heat, but c'mon? That hot, that early when I can't get out on the boat to dive? What a waste  The sand is so hot I won't even take the dogs down to the beach after 7:30am...gonna be a long summer, it seems.

here are my thoughts on snow , we had about a foot , we have a snow removal buisiness 17 trucks , 2 end loaders , 2 bobcats , 3 dumptrucks , 3 salt trucks , 2 4wheelers with plows , enough customers that it took 2days to clear and clean it all up !!!! So that meant about 3 hours of sllep in 2 days , alot of fast food breaks !!! Why do I like snow ? I have no idea !!!!!!! I must be crazy ! hmmmm maybe thats why I've been talking to myself so much !

Well the news promises of 40+ temps today didn't happen. The snow that should have been gone by noon is still here. Bah Humbug....

Ahh now that i do understand 40 degrees, opps i do hope that is 40c, does anyone have pictures of snow

Ahh, I tried to take one for you but the flash reflected off of the stuff and ruined the white balance.

They always use snow in hell as something that would never happen...well my hell would be full of the stuff :D.

Sorry can't help with the photo. I'm still not into the digital age of photography.

James, I hate to say it but I think it is funny. Bragging about how it was all going to be gone yesterday...and it is still with you. Ours is suppost to be gone within the next day or so. Forcasted high of 45 today, but no sun.

I think my thoughts of snow might change if I had a snowplow and was making money with it. Also doing a snow dive...now were talkin. Going to Bonne Terre mine the end of the month so would kinda like some snow on the ground.

DeepBlueDivers:
OK you guys

You need to help me what i have heard so far SNOW, it turns gray, it sticks to trees, you can throw it, its pretty, it goes quickly, you sometimes have to shovel it,its like cold sand, and it causes car accidents.

NO SORRY STILL DO NOT GET IT, DOES ANYONE HAVE A BETTER EXPLANATION.

Its mid winter here 90f water 82f

You can play in it ... these pics should help you grasp the concept of snow, as well as that of a flying harbor seal ... :D

Snowboarding all the way.

We just got our first snow of the season here in West Seattle. I'll be diving tonight and I'm sure it will all have melted by then. Too bad, it would be great to finish a dive during a good snowfall. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Snow can be a beautiful thing. Vacationed in Germany and Austria over the holidays and I had the good fortune of playing in snow for the opening week at WilderKaiser in Austria. Best skiing I've had in years.

When I was a child I would whine when mother called to come in for dinner. I would spend hours sliegh riding , building snow forts and playing 'king on the mountain' with my little pals.

But now it is shovel out the truck. Boots on-boots off. Fuel oil bills. Driving 30 in a 55.
I really don't think I could hack Florida for 12 months out of the year. But in 2 years, I will be your favorite son for January throught March. :D (Like I would be the only one to think of this plan.)
