Stopping in grand cayman on cruise ship in November. It sounds like a good place to go is the Reef and coral gardens, however, most tours take you to Stingray City. I have no need to do Stingray City. I also read that Coral gardens should only be done in Summer.

Would appreciate a recommendation for an operator to get to the reef and if someone could confirm that Coral gardens is only done in the summer. I realize i could do eden rock, but want to be where there are less people but still with an operator to be safe. I have my sister with me and she is not a great swimmer.

Thanks for your help, Watty

Captain Marvins are one of the bigger snorkel operators over here. Many snorkel tours offer three stops on their itinerary, often stingray city is one of them then somewhere like Coral Gardens or Starfish Point. I would start getting info by shooting an email over to Red Sail & Captain Marvins and asking what they are likely to be running when you are in town.
