tibbs14:Is there anywhere to go around Charleston where you can do some decent snorkeling and actually see something? I am going there in a couple of days and was wondering if I should bring my snorkel and mask. Thanks.
DreadPirate:Sorry, mate, as far as I know this isn't the place to snorkel. I grew up here, and the only snorkeling I ever did was in the large tidal pools on the beach at Sullivan's Island when I was a kid. They are only about three feet deep, if that. There's nothing really off the beach and the currents get bad outside the groins anyway.
