I have no personal experience with one but here's a review by someone else:
Scuba Diver Info - Camera review: Bonica Snapper HDDV
I'm not sure if it is just lower web resolution thing, but none of the videos or pictures in that review look that good. Maybe they all look better in real life, but I'm not impressed with the actual video (although maybe it is fine for an entry-level videographer). Even the screenshot of the HD TV shot is wanting. No red filter. Not a camera I'd want below 10-20 ft. No manual focus. That would be a pain.
I liked the reviewer's article overall, but some of his statements showed he wasn't all that experienced with underwater videographer. He kept saying that throwing more light on a video problem was the solution...when using a red filter would have accomplished more.
Also, I wonder why the need for the secondary internal protection case? Is that because Bonica's low experience users need it to prevent premature flooding or is the primary outer case a bit lacking. One part of me is glad they have it...I mean, we'd all love a second chance to save our camera, but another part asks me why it's needed in the first place.
My first u/w camera was a Bonica snapper. Got my first shark shot on it.
