I've heard that isolated smaller joint pain (a finger, for instance) is not usually considered DCS-related.

Is this generally accepted wisdom?

Is it based on analysis of DCS incidents?

Or is it a conclusion from physiology? Can one argue against small-joint bending based on, for example, ratio of tissue to blood vessels, or size of muscle tissues, or perfusion rates?

Fin on,

Based on the typical presenting features of DCS, small-joints such fingers and toes are very rarely involved.

Best regards.
