Hey Ike Guys,

It's me again. While cleaning my ikelite casings main o-ring, I felt this little bump. This bump is on the opposite side of where the seal is supposed to be. I brought the casing down about 4 times already and I didn't get any leaks. Should this get me worried?

thanks

From the look of the deformation, I personally would replace the o-ring. There so cheap its better to be safe then sorry.

@frankpro1

Thanks. I'll order one first thing next week. The annoying thing is that this is a new o-ring and the place where I got it told me that there is nothing wrong with this o-ring. :(

It does look questionable from the photo though in most situations it probably would not result in a leak. If this is a new housing and you're in the States, please PM me with your model # and address so we can send a replacement. If you're outside of the U.S. it would be quickest and most cost effective to contact your dealer/distributor for a replacement.

Regards,
Jean / Ikelite
