Question about skiing after diving....
I was thinking of doing a night dive this Friday -- 1 dive, no deco. Could be somewhat deep (~30 meters/100 feet).
I am also planning to ski the next day. Max altitude at the place we would ski at (Davos) is ~2600 meters/8530 feet. Most of the skiing would be from the top down to 2000+meters/6600 feet.
Interval between diving and skiing would be 12 hours.
A couple of thoughts:
- The highest potential ski altitude is just above the max allowable commercial flight pressurization of 8000 feet
- Skiing would obviously involve many ascents/descents.....and hard physical exercise
My general feeling is that despite it only being a single dive (and no other dives within the past 2 weeks), that this would not be a great idea. 12 hours is the minimum recommended interval between flying and diving, so to add in the physical exertion of skiing and all the ascending/descending......probably not a good idea.
Any thoughts? Thanks.
